1. What I collect

Through the enquiry form and at booking: your name, email address, preferred dates, group size, the area you are staying in, what you tell me about your health and hiking experience, and an emergency contact.

Payment details, including card numbers, go directly to Stripe. I never see or hold them.

2. Why I use it

To contact you and manage the booking; to make the safety checks the service requires; to file a climbing plan and to reach someone in an emergency; to charge and receipt you; and to keep records the law requires me to keep.

3. Sharing

I do not share your data without your consent, except where the law requires it, or where it is urgently needed to protect someone's life or safety — including passing details to police, fire services or rescue teams in a mountain incident.

4. Transfers outside Japan (important)

Running this site and taking payment involves the following overseas providers. Their servers sit outside Japan, so your data may be processed abroad.

5. How long I keep it

Booking records are kept for as long as the law requires — seven years for accounting records — and then deleted. Enquiries that go no further are deleted about a year after our last exchange.

6. Cookies and analytics

This site may use analytics to understand how it is used. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site works either way.

7. Access, correction and deletion

To see, correct, restrict or delete your data, contact me using the details on this site. I will verify who you are and respond promptly, as the law requires.
