"I want to travel abroad, but I don't know which country suits me." "I've picked the country, but I have no idea how many days it needs." This is for that stage.

I've worked in more than forty countries as a tour conductor. A guidebook tells you what is there. What I can tell you is what it was like — how tiring the transfers are, what has already closed by the time you arrive, how people treat you. Itineraries usually fall apart at exactly those points.

Typical ground covered: what the place actually feels like and how safe it felt, the gap between what's famous and what was worth going to, how many days it realistically takes, money and tipping, clothing and climate, how airports work there, and what changes when you're travelling with children or older parents.

Note: if I have not been to your country, I will say so. I won't repeat what anyone can look up as though I'd seen it. Tell me the destination when you book and I'll confirm in advance whether I can be useful.
